Buffalo Nickel — Fraser’s American West

1913–1938 Buffalo Nickel

James Earle Fraser designed the Buffalo nickel (1913–1938) with a composite Native portrait and an American bison. Dates sit on a high point and wear away — “dateless” buffalos are common.
